Dissertation Signature Sheets

At the conclusion of your dissertation proposal presentation or your dissertation defense, you will need to have the members of your dissertation committee sign a signature sheet. The following are requirements for a properly completed signature sheet.

PROPOSAL SIGNATURE SHEET

• Format: Refer to the appropriate template on the UDTS website.
• Members sign in BLACK INK only.
• If any committee members will be participating from off-site, please contact Valerie Sasser at econgrad@gmu.edu for assistance with obtaining their signature(s).
• If a committee member is also the Chair of the Department or the Director of Graduate Studies, that member can only sign a maximum of twice on the signature sheet.

DEFENSE SIGNATURE SHEET

• Format: Refer to the appropriate template on the UDTS website.
• The term notation must be term of graduation.
• Members sign in BLACK INK only.
• If any committee members will be participating from off-site, please contact Valerie Sasser at econgrad@gmu.edu for assistance with obtaining their signature(s).
• If a committee member is also the Chair of the Department or the Director of Graduate Studies, that member can only sign a maximum of twice on the signature sheet.
