Olivia Gonzalez is a PhD candidate in Economics at George Mason University. She earned her BS and MA degrees in economics from George Mason University, where she also worked for the Mercatus Center as a Research Associate working on state and local policy. Previously, she worked for the U.S. Small Business Administration as an Economist specializing in the cost-benefit analysis of government programs and worked on national statistics at the Bureau of Economic Analysis. Olivia is passionate about economic education and making economic concepts accessible and engaging for diverse audiences. Her research interests include urban economics, institutions, and economic sociology.
