Monetary Theory and (Agent-based) Computational Economics

Jiri Nohejl is a third-year PhD candidate in the Department of Economics at George Mason University and a PhD Fellow at the Mercatus Center. He holds MSc degrees in Finance and Applied Informatics from the Prague University of Economics. His research focuses on the intersection of monetary theory and computational economics, with an emphasis on digital currencies, Bitcoin, Lightning Network dynamics, and the agentic dimensions of artificial intelligence. Drawing on his practical experience, he also explores the industrial organization of alpine skiing and ski resorts.
