The Role of Networks and Social Capital in Determining Patterns of Economic Mobility
The George Mason Department of Economics invites the university community to join us for the James Buchanan and Vernon Smith Seminar presented by Dr. Matthew Jackson, William D. Eberle Professor of Economics at Stanford University.
This seminar series is designed to appeal to a broad audience and is named to honor the Department's two Nobel Laureates and to recognize scholars who have made outstanding contributions to economics.
Dr. Jackson’s research focuses on the study of social and economic networks, on which he has written the books The Human Network and Social and Economic Networks, as well as published many other articles.
