The reading group meets five Fridays a semester, from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM, in Buchanan Hall D180 (in person only, an online option is not available) and is graciously supported in part by The Institute for Humane Studies.

This term (Fall 2022) we will read Max Weber's The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism.  An open-access of the pagination we will be using can be found here.  

This meeting will discuss selections from: The Protestant Ethic Debate: Weber's Replies to His Critics, 1907-1910, edited by D. Chalcraft, A. Harrington, and M. Shields, 2001 which is available online from the GMU Library.
