On July 9, 2015, the Southern Economic Association concluded their annual elections of officers and board members for the 2015-2016 year. We are pleased to announce that Peter Boettke, University Professor of Economics & Philosophy, has been selected as the President-Elect and Program Chair of the association.
The Southern Economic Association, one of the oldest regional economics associations in the country, boasts a diverse membership, featuring scholars from universities from around the world and a broad scope of research interests and methods of inquiry. According to their website, “the purpose of the Southern Economic Association has been to further the education of scholars and the public in economic affairs. Toward this end, it seeks to stimulate interest in and disseminate results of recent research in theory and applied economics.”
