Eileen Kiely honored as 2025 CHSS distinguished alumni in economics

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to honor Eileen Kiely, MA Economics '96, with the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award in economics.

Kiely is managing director at BlackRock, where she leads the firm’s counterparty, trading, and securities lending risk function.  

A recognized authority on central counterparty risk, she has authored several thought leadership pieces and engages with global regulators, advocating for resilient trading markets.  

Her career includes time at major financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs and RBC Capital Markets, and she previously served as an economic research analyst at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.
