Gary Shiffman receives the College's Distinguished Alumni Award for Economics

Gary M. Shiffman, MA Economics '01, PhD '02, is the recipient of the 2022 College of Humanities and Social Sciences Distinguished Alumni Award - Economics.  Dr. Shiffman is an economist who works to counter coercion and organized violence and to support others who do the same.

Each year the College honors alumni, faculty, and staff who have made outstanding contributions to their fields, their communities, and to the university through leadership, research, and service. 

The 2022 award recipients were announced on November 15 and will be recognized at the College's Community and Catalysts event on Saturday, December 3 in Horizon Hall.
