Philip Wiest, associate professor of economics, graduated with a PhD in economics from the University of Pittsburgh. His primary fields of interest are Monetary Policy, Depository Institutions, and Financial Markets. He currently teaches courses in Money and Banking, Macroeconomics, Monetary Theory and Policy, and Bank and Thrift Regulatory Policy. He has been a visiting scholar at the Federal Home Loan Bank Board and at the Office of Thrift Supervision.
