Yuliya is a first year student in the MA in Economics program at George Mason University. After an extensive career in both the public and private sectors, Yuliya applied to GMU to gain a deeper knowledge of economic theory to focus on a career in developing effective public policy. Additionally, she is interested in international development and sustainability research. Originally from Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan, Yuliya has traveled widely and enjoys painting, ballet, and the theater in her spare time.
