O. Kate Scott, MBA, MEd has served as the associate director for the George Mason University Center for Economic Education since August 2018.
Prior to joining George Mason University, she spent six years in career & technical education teaching the Business Management & Administration career pathway in a Title I school in Brooklyn, Mississippi. During her tenure, Kate worked extensively with the Mississippi Council on Economic Education's Master Teacher of Entrepreneurship program. Prior to her years in education, she was employed in the healthcare administration industry where she developed, managed, and conducted multi-level employee training programs targeted to the implementation of electronic health record and practice management systems.
In addition to attaining master's degrees in both business and education, Kate has completed 20 post-graduate hours in economics. She is a certified Master Teacher of Economics, Master Teacher of Entrepreneurship, and W!se Personal Finance Educator.
