Theoretical and institutional analysis of government expenditure, taxation, debt management, and intergovernmental fiscal relations. Includes allocative and distributional effects of alternative tax and subsidy techniques, principles of benefit cost, and cost-effectiveness analysis for government decisions. May not be repeated for credit.
Recommended Prerequisite: ECON 611 or 811 or permission of instructor.
