Section Information for Fall 2019

This is the applied econometrics class that I have been teaching for many years. It is meant as a follow up to Econ 637, focusing on cross-sectional econometrics and causal inference. In this course, I will introduce students to modern tools of econometric analysis. There will be a Midterm, a Final, and a paper requirement. This is an applied class, meaning we do not focus on proofs. I will give you first some theoretical background for each method, and then we will implement these methods in Stata. Students should have at least taken ECON 637 or something equivalent prior to taking this course.
