As parents, we are proud that our son has chosen to study economics at George Mason University. The economics department has been the home of two Nobel Laureates, and it is also the birthplace and preeminent school in the nation for Public Choice Economics. The department’s adherence to markets and individual choice also set it apart from other schools in the nation, which makes us as enthusiastic as our son. He is an officer in the Economics Society, and we know that this involvement along with his coursework will further his understanding of economics and help him learn how the world around him actually works.
