Music Theater Building (formerly Fine Arts Building) 1002
Section Information for Spring 2017
This course explores some of the material you will have studied in your first year theory courses, only it does so by looking at that material through a different analytical window. Rather than looking at economic observations as pertaining to states of equilibrium, this course explores non-equilibrium processes of motion. While this course takes an emergent dynamic pass through some of the material of your first-year micro and macro classes, the course’s emphasis is on the macro or social level of theory.
Continuation of ECON 880. Topics vary and include market-process approach to analyzing capital accumulation and growth; money and credit institutions; inflation and unemployment; and industrial fluctuations.
